Introduction
Hello,
My name is Joshua Thacker and I am currently a college student living in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. I developed a love for the outdoors at a young age because of my father, so if you are reading this dad, thank you. My love for fly fishing came about around a year ago, upon discovery of my dad's old fly rod.
After a few internet videos, I was somewhat successfully casting a fly and bought my own fly rod for the upcoming year of fishing. This past year of fishing has left me with a lot to think about, and a lot to learn.
I hope that you follow along with my journey, and more importantly, I hope that you take my successes and failures and learn from them. I hope that you too, fall in love with the entire experience of fly fishing, such as I did from my first cast nearly a year ago from the time of writing this blog. I hope that somehow, I can invoke a feeling of encouragement and enlightenment that will allow you to not only become a better fly fisher, but be a better person.
So if this is something you think you will enjoy, stick around. I have plenty of failures to share, and I hope we can all learn something from them.
Good Luck and Tight Lines,
Josh
